ABOUT

Green Yoga delivers friendly yoga classes in Glasgow, Paisley, Bridge of Weir, Kilmacolm and online.

Founded by me, Janis Green, a Hatha yoga teacher, Green Yoga offers courses designed for all levels of fitness and yoga experience.

Yoga, derived from the ancient Sanksrit word ‘yuji’, meaning yolk or union, is an ancient practice that brings together body and mind and very much has a place in today’s, increasingly stressful, world.

I’ve been teaching yoga since 2004 and have travelled extensively to further my yoga practise, having trained and taught in India and Canada. I’m Yoga Scotland qualified, have a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma in Yoga Pregnancy and trained with the Institute of Yoga Sport Science.

I run regular, fun and friendly group classes as well as tailored, one to one tuition.

Yoga can increase strength, reduce stress and improve your physical and mental health. So why not come for a workout, body and soul?

Have been going to Janis for yoga for almost 9 years, and would highly recommend. There are gentler/stronger options depending on how you are feeling at the time and I always leave feeling much better than when I arrive.

Janis’ classes are wonderful, safe, warm, caring, fun places and spaces! You’ll make friends with other people there. I’ve been going for years and can’t imagine being without my weekly dose of Janis in my life. I feel like a better version of myself physically and emotionally after every class. And do go to one of the workshops for the longer immersive experience!
